A retired Travel Consultant, originally from Cork city in Ireland. I am married and living in a small village in the North West of Ireland. I began to write poetry to express my feelings, hopes and fears as a form of therapy to deal with my emotions after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2007. Through my poetry, I try to explain to family, friends and carers how this disease is affecting me and also to let other PWPD's know that they are not alone. I have had a few poems published in magazines but ultimately would love to publish a ( few) books. I write about Nature, Mythology, History, current affairs - in fact I probably have a Poem for every occasion ! So I hope you like a few of my samples. Thank you.
