The shower-head and how I died

For weeks nowFor months now For years ...I've been tired Firstly of myself Then of everybody else  I'd spend a day or three And then two weeks In bed  At 3 am I'd look for stars Plastered on an empty sky  There's so much space So much of everthing That hearing people talk Is too much  I'm here Hidden But right here  I'm in every big decision you have to make In every breakup In every crowd  Sometimes I keep you up at night.  I feel forgotten When you're better  I feel much better When you're not okay  It's 4:45 pm And I'm having stale pizza for breakfast I don't go to wash my hands I stay in bed  I hear birds screech Cars on the highway The sounds hang onto the red-bricks of an office building somewhere  And the coulds are pressed like oranges To produce some rain I long to feel it The rain To feel it Trickling Down My skin But I'm too ashamed to go out there And stand beneath it To let it touch me... I take all my showers in the dark As the water blends with the tones of my music My shoulders drop My chest heaves at the temperature The open skin on my wrists stingsLike scratching at an open wound With salt beneath your fingernails  I bow my head And think of Time How she passes How she has locked me in her past  I crouch down Resting my eyes  I cup my knees Feeling my skin Wet Sticky And hot  I leave my hands To travel as water does Running along the curves of my body I sniffle I cry I weep  The noise Is coaxed into a blurr By running water that demands to be heard And the heat that demands to be felt
