The "Just Right" Grandma

My Grandma is a special breedShe always knows just what I needNo need to plead for her to feedMe nuts, or toast with poppy seed. Not too quiet, not too loudNot too humble, not too proudLoves to read me books out loud,(And sleeping in her bed’s allowed) Gives me kisses, squeezy cuddlesHeaps of wise words when I'm muddledLets me jump in muddy puddlesSticks by me if I’m in trouble. 

Always listens to my stories,Swears not one of them is boring(Sometimes when I hear her snoringI tell her it’s my dinosaur!) Pirate hunting is her forté,Playing spies is what she taught me,Searching Op Shops is her sportSee this snazzy top she bought me? She makes the bestest sausage rolls!Mashed potato, fruit yogurt bowl,Gives me ice-cream, jellyroll(Even sometimes chocolate scroll!) I love to curl up on her lapWe watch a movie and she napsI know she won’t take too much crapBut she would NEVER give me a slap! She’s got such a cozy nest,Yep, my Grandma is the best,I know that you’ve already guessedMy Grandma passes every test!
