Locked down again, can’t visit my friendsCovid numbers are up, where will it end?I even bought a chicken, to read its entrailsTo see what our future direction entailsHoping to find a more positive viewI opened it up, read the depressing newsSaw there was nuffing but a big ball of stuffing!I huffed and I puffed, Sweet Jesus, we’re stuffed!But I did overlook that the chicken was cooked!So I ate it instead, with some chips and fresh breadPut on my mask, took a walk in the parkThen came back and cooked, read a really good bookAnd painted a scene of a place where I’ve beenThis too will pass, and half full is my glassYes!
