A WALK IN THE FOREST

I walk in the forest where my dreams are hiding. They confuse me so these dreams that whisper to one anotherin those fragile moments when the stillness is broken. Are they laughing?I search for them beneath the fallen leavesand in the canopy of gold high above my headbut they are not there they are wrapped in memoiresof another time, another man. Will this stillness last forever or will it bleedin the blood of autumn, the statuesque gray of winter? And then I turn to watch the birth of lightfleeing through the twisted trees, dancing across the misty lake, trying desperately to awaken the slumbering summer. In the clearing I stand alone and try to listento the time slip by then follow the footpathto the meadow where I once lay downand dreamt of flying.
