The garden pond as it starts to make a comeback in soon to be springtime
the goldfish and their tiny offspringhave survived the winters batteringalmost time to feed and weedthe algae blooms we just don't need the frogs and toads will soon be herethe cats will pounce and spread the fearamphibious rescue will unfoldas mating season soon takes hold the newts I doubt we'll see this yearthey love the silt and disappearas water lilies and pads unfurland lesser spearwort stretch and curl I love to watch the pond re-bornemerging larvae as waters warmand as spring returns the life that partedthe pond dwellers become re-united
