If you are to fail and let me love you, let that impulse last for longer than a day. A day with you will bring me brief elation, then endless painfor placating my intrusive heart,yet turning it away. Deny its errant feelings, divest it of this vain and ugly truth,abstain from me and never let me touch you, unrequited love is kinder than a solitary day, (or even two).
