The Book

A twist in the tail, don’t jump to conclusions.

“Sitting in a little concrete cell I have this story I must tell.” It was never my intention to ever read the book.I only opened the dust cover to have a hurried look.In the corner of a blank page an inscription caught my eye.It said, “I’m Yours Forever Darling” I will love you till I die In a state of shock I wondered from who the note could be.A love letter to my angel, but it didn’t come from me.And then I felt the anger swiftly followed by the rage.As my tears fell softly down upon the open page. Should I confront her, or pretend I did not know,Hire a private detective to follow everywhere she goes.Question after question bringing madness to my mind.Searching round the house what other evidence would I find. Sitting by her bedside looking deep into her eyes. She was dying from the poison I gave her for her lies.I asked her if there was anything I could do for her before the end.She said she wished that she'd read the book she borrowed from her friend. The moral of this story is a simple one I guess.Don't jump to conclusions it only causes stress.Compliment the dress she wears say you love her hair.Or you might end up like me strapped into this electric chair. Mr Mo
