Ancient but no warrior, a widower for over five years and still trying to 'downsize' after leaving a 4 bed house for a 2 bed flat. Have been interested in writing poetry since sometime in the eighties. Have been published nationally and a self published book about about prostate cancer helped to raise £2500 for the local hospital and many poems in a local annual anthology. I write on any subject and enjoy re-writing to old rhythms, nursery rhymes, old songs etc. I was married for 55 years happy family of daughter and son and 3 grandchildren. Working life covered Civil Service, Industry, Finance and self employed, driven by starting in computers in 1956. In recent yeas I have attended a number of 'open mike' events and often get a laugh or two from my words.
