Today the Geese Flew South
Today the geese were flying south My attention grabbed by the honk from their mouth Their "V" formation pulling my eyes Flying ever southward where the heat liesTheir harsh squawk accentedby the swingOf their magnificent slowly beating wing Their black and white spread ' cross Drew from my lungs , a long sighFor winter is here once againThe goose squawk ,Fall's refrainIts cold now , first snow has fallen Ice crackles and one lone duck its young is calling For we only have so many seasons to live Our lives in particles flowing through the sieveSome small , some big in living our days The decisions , the roads through our life maze Geese seem to fly straight and trueFrom the ground , a straight V-ruleThe leader ever pointed south Honking and leading her troupe by honk and mouth No road is ever straight and directThere's turns and hills that genuflectGo back ,turn around and try again Rich your efforts , walm through the painUp and circle , now on the ground Niosy warbling , calling loud To each , they want their crowd We like them , rant and roamLife's cares and needs , like the wave foam Are really small, mere nothing all Life 's happenigs gone, the end , follow the call.
