Where is this Girl?
So much was lost.
Where is the girl who happily went to teachShe loved teaching and the children loved herShe cared for all children the same andMade special attention to the children who needed help. During games, she loved playing cricket with themShe used to visit popular cricket grounds to watch England play other countriesShe went alone like she always did but got mingled with the crowd and enjoyed the gameThe same with when she visited the cinema, museums. and restaurants she was alone, but liked her company. So where is this girl who loved travelling to other countriesShe visited the country’s cities and villages and mixed with the localsShe didn’t lie on the beach, getting roasted and sipping cocktailsShe rarely visited the hotel bar and restaurant. Where is the girl who enjoyed walking in the woods and meadowsTalking to farm animals and taking pictures of themPhotography was one of her passions, especially capturing sceneriesShe Spent a long time studying the colours of her subjects. She transferred those photos on to paper by drawingCreated the pictures using different mediaShe loved making decorations and cards for ChristmasShe sent her handmade cards to her friends who liked them. Where is the girl who read books for knowledge and enjoymentShe imagined herself as a character in storiesShe was so engrossed in the story and forgot it was past bedtimeWhen she watched movies of mysteries and thrillers, she liked guessing the culprits. She wrote poetry and short storiesThey were mostly on her personal experienceShe tried hard to improve her writing skillsShe wanted readers to comment on her style of writing. This girl has got lost in herself due to illness and lacked confidenceShe didn’t get help from family and friendsInstead they left her and didn’t respond to her pleasThe medical profession wasn’t helpful; they didn’t understand the illness. The medication didn’t workShe was all alone at home and lay in bed with painFinally she tried non-medical approachThere were elements of success. She’s now doing more research and getting betterThe girl who was lost in herself is finally coming outShe has a long way to goThe lost girl is me and I would try my best to be myself again.
