Two Thousand and Twenty One
Very soon it will be Two Thousand and Twenty One.It’s another day like any other.Your life will not change just because it’s the start of a new calendar year.There are no astronomical changes on first of January.Even the earth would not have completed orbiting the sun the last day of the year.It takes three hundred and sixty five days and a quarter for the earth to orbit the sun.This is just one example and I don’t believe any astronomical change would have any impact in our lives. We make New Year Resolutions which most of us don’t keep.I was one such person, but not anymore as I know better.Trying to change your ways and pushing yourself in to doing things don’t work.We must try to accept ourselves for the way we are.We must love ourselves for all the positive and negative qualities.It is by understanding ourselves that we may be able to change some of our undesirable qualities.This is a long process and does not happen overnight and certainly not on first of January. So do forgive me for not saying Happy New Year and all the other things we say on New Year’s Day.This does not mean I don’t wish anyone happiness.My good wishes for the nearest and dearest and anybody,Would still exist on any day of the year.So, let me end this poem by saying,Happy days, peaceful life, good health, and all good things for rest of the days in your life.And may God bless you and your family and keep you safe!
