The Purest Love

This poem is written for someone whose not on this website.
I'm really dedicating it to anyone who loves and cares for me.

My purest love I give to you I do not expect anything in returnYou were the only person who saidTo keep you informed of my wellbeing And yet I have known you only four monthsMy long term friends don’t seem to care.Never ring or write to ask how I fare. But I love them in spite of their flaws I came to realise that I have no friendsUntil you stepped in and took their placeI wish our friendship lasts foreverBut in this life this is not guaranteed. I don’t need you to give me flowersThey don’t last long and wither awayInstead I’d like you to hold me in your heartThis petite figure you met down in the busy highway Your gentle smile had a calming effectThe words you uttered I’ll never forgetYour help and kindness forever remainIn a special place in my loving heart
