Oops! I Missed the Anniversary!
I have been a member of 'Line of Poetry' a little over a year. This poem is about my first year anniversary.
Oops! I missed the Anniversary!On the twenty fourth of January.I have been on this wonderful platform,Where I enjoy writing poetry. I was a bit wary when I first joined.I didn’t publish for another month.Although I have been writing,Poetry for the last eight years. I thought my poetry wasn’t good.I thought people might laugh.I thought my rhyming wasn’t great.I thought I was saying too much,Personal things about me. My poetry mostly is straightforward.I use simple words.I don’t always rhyme.But I try to keep a rhythm. The first comment I got.From someone named Indigo.His comment was helpful and kind.I couldn’t figure out who he was.He looked like a phantom poet. I asked a lot of questions.From the creator in Norway.He always liked my questions.But I kept on saying sorry. My confidence rose more from his messages,And other writers who gave me positive feedback.I was applauded and said I have talent.I met some lovely people.In this platform named Line of Poetry. May I say A big Thank you,To Indigo and other poets.You all have such talent.Although I may not always comment. I wish you all Good Luck.And hope to read more of your great stuff.
