Mr Love
A humorous poem about a friend.
The cute little boy who grew like Henry the eighthHe’s cheerful with all his health issues has faithI admire him for putting up with it all in good faith. I met this chap in 1998 I thinkthrough someone I knew with a drinkIt was at Sri Lanka Cricket festival in a brink. He was with big umbrella dancing quickEating mutton rolls with a lickHe would not give a miss to a curry quick! He became a family memberMother affectionately called him ‘fat son’ in NovemberMost of our friends became his friends remember. He is helpful but disastrousOnce he nearly dropped attic door on my head not callousHe does shoddy jobs when tired is disastrous. He has a cute daughter he adoresWho’s been brought up well with amourHe would care for her ever more. We sometimes argue and get fed upI ask him to get lost and not muck me upBut quick he apologise buddies again follow up. I hope he looks after his healthEat sensible food and exercise himselfI would sorely miss him if it’s his death!
