Memories
There’s a weight across my shoulders,A million memories that hold me back,Dragging me down into dark depths of remembrance,Forcing me to relive things that I don’t want to see.I’m sure that she’s not me,Or maybe it just what the weight wants me to believe,My timidness has made it easy-for others to dump their weight on me.I shall confer with my little girl who has a good memory,And leave memories that don’t belong to us by the wayside,With names attached to them. They will cling onto the shoulders of the right people,And will have meaningful relationships of what they have missed!
