Love in Autumn Years
After reading Dean Jones' beautiful poem 'A quest for endless love', I decided to write this short poem. I don't normally write romantic poems as I feel I have lost in love. But what's written in this poem is heartfelt. I could have written a longer poem, but that would go on forever!
In my early Autumn Years in life,I'm not looking for 'Endless Love' anymore.If I could have a true friend,A man who could accompany me,In doing the things I love,Walking in the countryside,Visiting the many magical embankments by River Thames,Attend the theatre, museum, and art gallery,Even to go away but not necessarily as a lover,A platonic relationship, is more than enough for me right now.I wonder if God is reading this!
