Karma
This poem did not take me long to write because the contents have been in my mind for a long time
I never believed in Karma for moral reasonsBut the more I look around, I think it’s to be trueIt may not necessarily come from GodIt may come from rules of Mother Nature and Universe. Individuals who ruined my personal happinessFriends who have been critical of me beyond repairLaughed at me for their personal pleasureUsed me at no end that I didn’t even see. Friends who have laughed and mocked the God I love.Dishonesty in their ‘wheeling and dealings’Cruel jokes made to humans from other cultureThe list goes on and I have seen it all. I hate to say that God and Universe have their own waysOf paying back people, communities, and countriesIn very subtle ways that many may not seeBut the kindness of God may give another chance. The most important Karma I apply is to stand tallWalk away from people who mock me and hurt meThey will see their unscrupulous acts are all in vainI will no longer be a person to be used by them. Kindness is highest in the world I believe inIt’s easiest thing to do without any monetary valueSo, give to the world the best you canand the best will come back to you.
