I Like the Way I write!

I was born in CeylonWhich is now called Sri LankaI was young when I came hereI’m a teacher by profession. My style of poetry straightforwardI use simple wordsYou don’t need a dictionaryOr wreck your brains to understand! This style comes from teaching childrenWith whom I have written manyI started writing to the publicIn two thousand and thirteen. My object is to reach all human heartsThat I think I have doneI have received many positive remarksBut a few negative ones. When you write for public audienceCriticisms you getI’m certainly okay with thatAs long as reasons are given. Recently I receivedA few criticisms without mercyThey were not positive criticismsThis hurt me so. Do not try to change my styleMetaphors I use very littleIf I want to change my styleI’ll do it because I want! For this reason and my bad healthI haven’t written any poemsFor more than a month or soBut I think I'll start again. But not so much as I didAs I need to sort out my healthAlthough I haven’t writtenI have visited the site on many days.
