Here Comes the Rain!
I haven’t published a poem for a year. I have written, but not finished them. My cognitive skills suffered due to the dreaded illness fibromyalgia. I lost my confidence doing things I loved. But I must start writing again and chase the demon fibro, and what better way to start with my 300th poem!
Rain drops falling like tearsThe weather isn’t happyThe wind roars like a furious force tearing through the treesBlows away the pink blossoms in my yardThey are the first to bloom before Spring arrivesThey have become pink candy floss under the treeNo birds to be seenOnly one big squirrel runs across the yardIt’s belly full of nuts stored in AutumnThe sun briefly peeps through the clouds and hides awayIt looks like the sun is frightened of what he seesEarth seems to be in turmoilHumans have forgotten how to care and shareThey have become selfish and lack empathyNo more peaceful happy conversationsThey only love gossip stirred by mediaThe sun comes out and runs behind the clouds againThe gloomy grey clouds win the day!
