And I Still Smile

I have been bullied for long periods in my life, but not anymore; hence this poem.

You may envy my existence I love your green eyesAnd I still smile. You may tell lies about meDoes my honesty upset youBut I still smile. You may be rude to meDoes my politeness trouble youFor I still smile. You may purposely ignore meDoes my good looks bother youGreat! I still smile. You may gossip about meDoes my inner strength unsettle youIgnorance! I still smile. You may want to see me brokenDoes my success worry youI continue to smile. You may want to intimidate meDoes my inner peace disturb youFunny! I still smile. You may wonder how I got strongFrom being a timid personI put up with too many people like you!
