James Marchiori

Dublin, Ireland

I started writing poems at nine. During my career, I’ve been awarded in many countries all over Europe, with important prizes such as the one I received in Bruxelles, at the European Parliament, with the patronage of the European Union. I published my first poetry anthology at twenty-two, followed by another three, a short stories one, and two novels. My works were published in English and Italian. My last poetry anthology is called “The Black Bloom and other poems”. My last novel “To my Beloved Heart, the last journey of Edgar Allan Poe” is a historical-fiction celebrating the master of horror. I’ve been the lyricist and singer of a rock band, and involved in music projects as a DJ and sound technician. Although focused on writing novels and screenplays, poetry is my soul. While others are still projects to work on, poetry is my daily pleasure. I was born in Venice, Italy, and I lived in Los Angeles, New York, London. I’m currently based in the fantastic Dublin, Ireland. Basically, I’m a wanderer, a dreamer, a free spirit, a bohemian with a passion for the free power of the word.
