Jack Groundhog

No-land

In the faraway land of Reality,I saw a small wooden throne for a king.He ruled from his perch with vitalityand he never once asked for a thing. Though it’s said power corrupts, he stayed saneand ruled wisely to the end of his days. And when he died, his successor was famedfor walking in her late forebear’s wise ways. The royal palace was built out of trash, which had been recycled, then built to last, and the kind ruler gave freely in cashso homelessness was a thing of the past. All the grown-ups received free instructionand the voices of children were heeded. There was no need for warlike destructionbecause everyone had all that they needed. Now, you probably think that I’m crazyfor describing this as a real place. But wouldn’t you agree that it’s lazythat we let our world have no such grace?
