Ode To The Politicians

If I dare to speak does it not suggestThat my feelings seem to be repressed? In the barren wasteland of a distant shoreI hear empty words through an open door. As martyrs we are fed by a well of liesMalicious words where the truth hides.Relentlessly pounding within our head Are ancient songs of the walking dead. Demoralised, existing as helpless slavesForced to dig each other`s graves.Ignored, forgotten and too blind to seeThe plague they bring to our society. Now how can we perceive all this in faith?Believe that politicians will keep us safe? It`s the obvious truth and an undeniable factWhen the button is pushed there`s no turning back. So, I ask you now is it alright to waitWhilst ignorant minds decide our fate?Explain to me so I can understandIf we should meet all their demands. Should we fight to make our voices heard?Or try to change what must be deterred?Yet exhausted we still hear this claimThat acts of terror are not done in vain.
