John Coventry

John Coventry was born in the United Kingdom in 1980 and grew up in a musical family. As well as a poet he is also a singer, songwriter and photographer. He learnt to play the piano at the age of 10, the guitar at the age of 13 and wrote his first song at the age of 14. John started writing poetry in primary school and loved reading the works of William Blake, Thomas Hardy and Edgar Allen Poe. Although poetry was never his first love it gave him a chance to explore emotional topics and thoughts in a way that writing songs didn’t.
