Grandma

Dear Grandma, You are dozing now,Inanimate as the squashy sofa,Your comforting folds resemble.Living SanctumHarbour me. Your angry-eyes glasses (the ones with the tilted rims),Have slipped down your nose,And I gently take them off,Placing them on the matronly curvature,Of your chest.Loving EyesKeep watch for me. I absently finger the sparkly beads, Of the metallic chain that secures them,And sink into peaceful reverie,Sinking into you....Peaceful ReverieSuffuse my soul. I count the huge pink flowers on your dress,Which seem to drift across my wandering eyes,Like the clouds of Heaven itself....Clouds of HeavenBeckon me home. Amen
