WE SAY...
This is a piece of work that came from the wonderful idea our friend and poet Peter Piper made, to have a WE SAY piece to complete a serious of SAY poems. I had written YOU SAY - I SAY poems on a female writer based on words she continuously expresses in her writing, and you lovely lot formed a very accurate picture of her based on those two poems β which prompted Peters idea. This could grow, arms and legs, and may well spark many ideas from us all. But in the meantime, based on feedback responses (which I will copy and paste) here is the first ( could be only and might be of many - depends on you) poem written from words from you guys. Co-writers!
We SAID this...
Lovely poem Liz, lots of self doubt, sensitivity and angst. She's probably the nicest person you could ever meet, lol. It's funny how you don't see it, she needs to see it.(Peter)
Great follow on, there should be a "we say," you can pass on all of our thoughts to her π
(Peter)
No she's very real. A unique individual. Quirky doesn't realise she is, but I wish she would realise her worth in this world. She is gold. Pure gold. (Elizabeth)
She sounds like pure gold to me π love your Nick name for her Quirky ... quirky folk are the best coz they are individuals despite the rest and full of character .. I reckon youβre a quirky one too .., am I right! (Of course it takes one to know one π!) (Marisha)
Brilliant...very touching and so humorous too... what a brilliant mix Elizabeth. fantastic, well done, what a great retort/ follow-on from your previous poem. I like this girl too (what I know of her at least) and I'm also a woman last time I checked! (Marisha)
I agree with Marisha touching and humorous at the same time...(Chrisopher)
