Home for Christmas
I can’t drive home for ChristmasSince the twockers torched my car.The buses all stopped running,Cuts to service gone too far. I’d take a train to get thereBut the railways are on strike. My front wheel has a punctureSo I can’t go on my bike These boots were made for walkingBut they badly need repairAnd as I'm not a Snowman There's no Walking in the Air! So snuggled up for ChristmasIt's my cat and me alone,With roaring fire, fine brandyLots of books and turned-off phone.
