I’m feeling jaunty in my Christmas hatThe scarlet colour brightens my dull moodAnd cheers me up, like if I’d caught a ratOr fought the cat and chased him off for good. My Christmas hat brings me such festive cheer,They call me ‘cute’ and give me treat on treat.And what is more this happens ever yearIt’s great for dogs like me! I love to eat. They take me out for walks to show me offTo all the other folk who coo and pet.Though hatless dogs out there may sneer and scoffIt’s better than a trip to see the vet.
