Resist the Script

When I was a girl She said to meThey don't love youDont you see?! Words that plantedYet unexplainedIt was grantedShamed and pained When I was a girlShe said to meIt's a terrible worldDon't you believe?! Words that haunted Chalked in whiteHer catalogue tauntedMy day through night  When I was a girlShe said to meYou are so horrible Girl - don't you see?! Words that strippedMy young walls bareAs I stewed and pickedWalls of skin and hair When I was a womanShe said to me Don't stray from the planOr my rage you will meet Words slapped accross my faceAs my soul takes flightTo exit this wretched placeTo resist the bait to fight
