Lost in the everyday 1

Problem here. The phrase 'lost in the everyday' is used in England to describe the boredom of a mundane workplace and when I saw the challenge I wrote a poem about, what I would imagine it to be like, working in a factory. When I was about to put the poem on this site I read the full script about the challenge so wrote another poem about the everyday things that put a smile on my face. here are the two poems 'Lost in the everyday 1' and 'Lost in the everyday 2'

The morning shot of espresso, with flavour so intenseEnriched with lots of caffeine to stimulate my senseThe smile that my wife gives me, each morning when she wakesThe smell that wafts from the kitchen, every time she bakesThe serenade of song birds that sing when the day is dawningThe nodding head gesture, when a stranger says "good morning"The laughter of my grandchildren, when skipping down the streetSplashing in the puddles with their wellies on their feetThe melodious sound of a busker, strumming his guitarThe aroma in my friends house when he's smoking a cigarThe feeling of warmth and comfort, when arriving home from graftPopping in the local pub for a pint of Guinness draughtPhone calls from my siblings on evenings and weekendsWhatsApp jokes on my cellphone sent from many friendsThere's many things of 'everyday' that bring a lot of pleasureBut memories of my childhood is the thing I really treasure  LOST IN THE EVERYDAY 2 My mind in autopilot as I go to work each dayMy daytime job is boring, I just go there for the payIt's just the same old, same old, a repetative routineSometimes I think I'm thought of as a humanoid machine I feel so disconnected, I must refresh my mindA break is what I really need from the daily grindI try to switch my brain off, when going through the motionsMy doctor prescribed sertraline, I don't want pills or potions I'm suffering from 'burn out' from extreme mundanityAll I want is a change of scene to keep my sanityI have a choice to quit my job, do I go or do I stayI'm not suffering from depression, I'm just lost in the everyday
