Three Sides
Three sides to a story...
The truth is something no-one, Will ever really knowBecause a story has three sides, Where truth hides itself untold. There is your side of the story, There is my side of it tooAnd those who hear each version, Will be hearing something new. Because of course, you think you're right, And I think I'm right too;And it leaves other folk conflictedDo they believe me, or believe you? Now, none of us are liarsBut we're blinded in plain sight, And sticking to our gunsAlways ends up in a fight. You see, my perception of events, Is quite different to yoursAnd we could argue black is white, And go at it for hours. Because, no matter how we see things, It will be from a different angle; And this is where I think that, The truth ends up in a fangle. When others hear of our predicament, It is hard to take a sideBecause bits of the whole story,Are always left behind. Now, it's not always deliberate, And I don't mean to be uncouth;Theres your side, and there's my side, And then... there's the bloody truth.
