Ma Roof

Writing workshop other night had us writing in Scots.
So this is me practicing ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š and it is partly true... I do need a new roof and there has been water... Or watter in the past.
Audio to go wae it

Ahm feart. It's a richt dreich nicht the nicht, an yon roof ae mine, it'll hae seen better days, eh? Bein' as auld as it is. The rains stoating doon tae. Absolutely pelting.Ahm feart it'll come in oan tap ae me,An smother me unnerneath the rubble that'll tummle doo wae it,An strike me doon deid.Where ma cauld body wull hae lay fir weeks an weeks afore it's fun. Ahm feart naebody wull miss me.An ma corpse wull rot awa' Like rotten fruit.Fairn fur the flies.Or fur the dug.Whitevur eats me foremaist. Och, that's the rain gaun aff noo. Mibbie ah dinnae need tae be frettin' efter awe.Ma Mither wis aye a worrier like masel. Ma Faither wud aye say, "Ye dee if ye worry an ye dee if ye dinnae โ€”So why worry".Ma Faither wis a wise man. Wiser than masel. Sure, ah thought the roof wis commin' in. Wae jist a wee drap o' rain tae. No e'en enough tae be wettin' yer socks. Daft eejit that a'm ur.
