I Must Not Talk in Class

The 'letter' is to her teacher...
At her request.

I was sitting in my class todayI was being really good, The teacher had her back to meSo she misunderstood.  She heard somebody talkingAnd she thought it might be me Because when she turned aroundShe saw my friend was nudging me.  She didn't ask me any questionsTo find out what was going on, She told me to pack up my thingsAnd quickly move along. And so, there I was unsettledIn a seat that wasn't mine, Shifted from my tableFor someone elses crime. So I tried to get aquaintedWith my new friends for the day, But this made my teacher very madAnd she threw her chalk away.  She said it was a warningAnd if I spoke just one more time, I'd be very sorry —And doing 100 lines.  I tried my very best, I didTo say not one more word, But eventually I gave inAnd the bloody teacher heard!  She handed me some paperAnd said I had to take it home, On the board she wrote instructions Of what I had to do alone.  She started with one sentenceAnd said I had to do the rest, And when I looked up it said'I must not talk in class'.  And so you may see me writingAnd scribbling all the time, It's nothing much of interestsIt's just these hundred lines.  All because I was chattingWhen she was giving out some tasks, I'm landed with one hundred linesSaying — 'I must not talk in class'
