He's Gone
When you are prepared for loss and it comes...
An observation
I should add from anothers view...
It doesn't feel real.It doesn't feel anything yet.People keep asking me;How I am doing? How am I feeling?I will say I'm ok because that's the answer that they want to hear. That's the answer that's comfortable. They don't want to know that in truth, I don't know how I feel. I mean, How do you explain feeling nothing and everthing at the same time? How do you explain having spent your every moment loving and caring for someone,For richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health, Until death you do part. And finding yourself at the end of that sentence, Wishing for more promises. Wishing for more time. I lost myself for a while. I didn't know who I was any more. Once a friend, a lover, a wife. This illness stole from both of us. At times I lost you. And now, I've lost you again; And I've come to the realisation, I don't know who I am —without you.
