Shimmer
Shimmer bright upon black watersIllume the calm sea with me tonightAmong Her sparkling sons & daughtersEvanescent are we under moonlight Mysterious the deep black sea belowA shadowed shroud, the night sky aboveYet by moonlit reflection we still glowFor but a second bright in Love Long life lasts but one momentOne moonlit night spans all of TimeI sparkle once for you, your country gentYou flare once for me in mystic rhyme Between our time there's only nightthe black vacuum void of deep dark spaceYet there briefly flares one Star so brightJust to light Her lovely moonlit face Shimmer bright upon black watersIllume the rippling seas with me tonightAmong Her sparkling sons & daughtersEvanescent are we under moonlight E.J Reid
