Flower People
Choice
Flower People So the springtime flowers have gone,As have the friends with whom I played,The roses that lit up the long hot summersForgotten like the girls with whom I played.Friends have disappeared into the pastAnd the grass, like life, is dry and brown. What is to be done, I sometimes wonder.Should I sit around and cry?No, I’ll plant another garden,Make some new friends, that’s my plan,Or I’ll walk among the strangersAnd find more flowers if I can.
