The Rainbow Sits With Me

The concept that it is not the rainbow that comes and goes but the rain and sun which come and go. In that respect the colour of the rainbow is ever present and surrounding us. The light and rain simply make it visible.

Is every rainbow hidden Behind the light which tries to shineWhere rain drops are forbidden But inspite they both combine? Interactive order In an open-ended stateThe colours of the rainbow Not so much by chance or fate But by being all around us Whilst not always as they seemWe travel through these rays of lightLike a cosmic laser beam So in essence we are everything A rainbow claims to beFor in even sitting here in solitudeThe rainbow sits with me I am the raindrop interactingAs it is drawn towards the groundI am the sunlight that's refractingFrom a skylit vapour cloud And as in nature in the right light And the right amount of rainThe colours of the rainbow Come back to me again  But the strength of colour changesDepending on the strength of light Sometimes in darkness it presents itselfIn the light of moon at night But it is there forever hanging From heaven's firmamentA natural splash of colour And each impression permanent
