Sunrise Over Mist
They say we don't remember wordsOf those with whom we dealInstead our hearts rememberHow other people make us feel I drove towards the sunriseAs it rose above the hazeThe treetops in the mirageThe best of starts in many ways It changed my day entirelyThis vision of the sunImagine so much warmth within youThat you can be the change in everyone I heard that when you think of thingsThat touch your inner beingYou transfer a certain energyWhich changes others ways of seeing When drained of all my confidenceI manifest that sightI imagine I'm the sunriseA golden glow that ends the night When they set their eyes upon meI will project the view I sawThe energy that burns within meIs one of warmth, wonder and awe And this is how they'll see meLike the sunrise over mistA fist no longer greets me Instead I'll feel that I've been kissed To be percieved as sunrise The heat that warms the dayTo compare myself to such perfectionRepairs me in a way And why just be the sunriseWhen we too can be sunsetThe light before the darknessThe heart which feels will not forget
