The Lucky Country

They called it the Lucky Country and it could hold its head highStability opportunity prosperity some of the reasons why The seperation of Church and State was another good reason tooElected Governments govern the administration of Grace to be left to the Church to do Religion was a gentle experience that was practised in silenceWith no real concern threat or fear and no sign of any violence Kindness love and forgiveness formed the ideal of the catholic the protestant and the jewAnd acceptance and forgiveness was all that was expected of you At times there was disagreement and argument but it didn't lead to savageryYou could practice your faith without trepidation in a form of open anonimity No one wanted to annihilate or eradicate if you held a different point of viewThey might accuse avoid and dislike but they continued to tolerate you Then the Country lost its luck thanks to the desires of an evil fewThey wanted things to be changed to be rearraged this is what they felt they had to do So that faith that glue that held the country together needed to be underminedAnd a Religion that was dominant and intolerant was what they needed to find So they flooded The Lucky Country with a suitable Religion without consent or warningThen violence intolerance and fear erupted at Bondi on a quiet Sunday morning The Lucky Country might never recoverer from the desires of those evil women and menAnd intolerance Acceptance and Forgiveness may never be seen again
