I was looking back at some of my older poetic bits and pieces and came across this poem I had forgotten about.

His number cast by fortune's dicehe stumbled along life's thorny wayWishing that chance would throw it twiceand see that fickle balance swayto loosen gender's cruel vice, freely walk his own pathway. How came he to this loathsome state?Where life itself became a curse;a constant battle against his fate,of body, mind and soul diverse. To suffer the senseless bigot's hatethat labels any change perverse. If he could have lived in kinder timesthat would not brand him failure, nor label his ways as crimesto dress in feminine regalia.Accept that life plays sometimesin contrast to one's genitalia.
