Sense and censorship

Walked along a flowing river Running water is my thing Went to hear the gushing waterBut couldnt hear that river sing By the waterfall I wonderedMist droplets refracted the noondaySunUsually there is a rainbow But of any colour there is none Drove so swiftly to the ocean To feel the salt spray as it comes On the tidal rush and sea breeze But to its feeling I am numb Love to see the gulls a soaring Around the coast and on the seaBut today they all are missing Not a single bird to see Went to buy a strawberry cornet Summer ice cream tastes so grand Today this treat has no attractionIts taste is gone its wholly bland What is life without our sensesThey fuel your choices everydayJust as some diverse opinions Let's you choose how you make your wayWent to smell my favourite flowersSo many fragrances after the rainBut my sniffing sense was broken More relaxing down the drainSo when the world is monotone A single high pitched droning sound Or colour drained away to nothing Monochrome grey is all around No fragrances but one of bullshitSeem to be prevailing hereWithout our senses we are nothing Live in doubt and constant fearSo when free speech is coldly censored Social media posts removed Articles just banned from public Is this pure conjecture cant be provedThere is no sense in censorshipIt's like the monochrome tv testcardA single view on any channelConformity in every regardA high pitched whine just one messageNo debate or democracyIs this the future your subscribing?Giving it legitimacyWe need a world of vibrant coloursA place of opera and rockTo taste the foods of diverse originTo feel the sunshine and the rainTo smell the wood smoke and the perfumeExperience both pleasure and painSo dont support a world of censureThose in power have it all gainBe creative with expression Free speech and writing should remainSupport the artists colour canvas Rhyming verse or chorus line The storytellers gripping novelThe actors play or mimics mime Our world needs diversity It's not just a nicetyIt fuels our empathyAnd it's what we all should see An original workCopyright 19062020
