How I adore the pre dawn skiesColours changing before my eyesFrom veined onyx jet black,graphite greyTo purest marble then fading awayWith the silver moon in a rose tinged skyTopaz and tourmaline what a beautiful sightThose rose ripple streaks look a tasty treat Eton mess ice cream a luxury eatThe gulls singing their pre dawn squallsAs the market sleeps through this pregnant pause expectant now and soon to rise A golden disc the golden prizeHeralding a brand new dayWhere the thrushes chirp and sparrows playThe horses run round the trotting trackLike roman charioteers feigned attackThis gladiatorial sand strewn place The focus point for the trotting raceThe splendid vigor of ancient campsDew soaked tents and banners flapGentle breezes waft from the seaAhhh the feeling waking freeNow resplendent this golden sun Awakens fully new days begunCandy floss streaks and azure skiesWith golden syrup this dawn sunriseCreatures stir the world awakes A magnificent sunday seaside breakBut for some the works begunMarket day lots to be done Stalls to set displays to flash What a fabulous setting to earn some cashBathed in warmth sun golden bright Gentle breezes and radiant light But now my duties I cannot shirk Jump to it man it's time for work  An original workCopyright 12072020
