Hark the croon of the july moon

At the Hart of this matter of red and roe deer The stag and the doe are both perfectly clearThe moon will be full when she shines bright tonight As the young males antlers protrude now hes ready to fight  The tale of the rose between thorns is well knownWhere beauty sublime between ugliness grownThose fragrant sweet petals bloom straight from the stemSmile at the moonlight you ruby red gem The thresher does harvest and bale all the hayWorking from sun up to sundown each dayUntil it's all rolled up and bagged to be moved And stored in the barns to be used up as food Our noble bee keeper gives thanks today For his hives full of honey for him to take awaySlips sugar water right into the hivesThe bees know no different continue their lives  Country traditions remain year on year Passed down through the ages for children to hear Poets wax lyrical and the minstrels will croon As they talk of the wonderment of the july full moon  But I long to see you rise out from the seaGreeted by dolphins as they play merrily Leaping and singing as the tide you bring inAnd your rapid ascent to the heavens begins  My wandering angel you arc through the skies Peer through the clouds and cast off your disguise Bathe in the river your reflection so bright Light up the darkness on this july night  Copyright 03072020
