That Moment
It was a blank look.I walked out to bring her in.She stood there, hair covering her face,Wearing a nice dress that I can’t seem to remember.I called out, her head turned,Like a bristled curtain her hair swung. And the world froze. It was a blank look. The gloss in the brown pupils,The look of wonder on who the voice belonged to.The horizontally stiff lips were merely a pleasing accompaniment,But her tools of vision in neutral held within it an odyssey,And I wanted to dive in between it’s pages and words. And leave my heart behind. It was a blank look.
